Kingston Community School Library



Patrons of the Kingston Community School Library have the right to use library materials, services and facilities without being duly disturbed or impeded by other library users.

Patrons and staff have the right to a safe and congenial environment.


Any behaviour that disrupts or hinders public use of the library is prohibited. This includes, but is not limited to, loud or boisterous behaviour, verbal or physical harassment, drunkenness, running or fighting.

Smoking is not permitted.

Animals, except those used to aid persons with disabilities, are not permitted in the library, except as part of a library programme.

Parents or other legal guardians are responsible for the behaviour of their minor children in the library.

The violation of Federal, State or Local laws will not be permitted on library property. Theft, vandalism and mutilation of library property are criminal offences and may be prosecuted.

The library is not responsible for private belongings left unattended.

Consumption of alcohol is not permitted in the library except as a part of a library programme.

The sending, receiving or viewing of illegal, offensive or objectionable material via the Internet is not permitted.

Failure to comply with these rules may result in the loss of library use privileges.
